Finding Beauty in Science

Br. Jonathan Stott, SJ, who is currently in his first year as a physics professor at Fairfield University in Connecticut, is used to being asked if his work in science and his religious vocation ever conflict.

His answer: "In all honesty no" -- which always surprises people. "God created the world around us and there is nothing to fear of it," Br. Stott explains. "This is God's handiwork. It's not going to challenge your faith."

Pope Francis Canonizes Blessed Jesuit Father José de Anchieta

Pope Francis canonized Bl. Jesuit Father José de Anchieta, a patron of the country's music and literature known as the "Apostle of Brazil," on April 3.

"His canonization is not only a gift for the church in Brazil, but also for the Society of Jesus," said Jesuit José Célio dos Santos, a Brazilian scholastic studying at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry.
