Metro New York Jesuits
On Saturday, November 9, a group of about 20 men (Metro New York Jesuits and candidates) participated in a Vicenza Day event organized by the Vocation Office. The day's activities included service work at the Xavier Society for the Blind, lunch, Mass, prayer, reflection and sharing. Vicenza Day events are designed to give men in discernment a taste of what it's like to live in and work with a Jesuit Community, while also fostering relationships between and among these men and Jesuits.

MEET THE JESUITS
Steve Nicholson, SJ reflects on his transition from the Novitiate to First Studies.
Wide Open Spaces
Two shorts months ago, I was a Jesuit novice preparing to profess my first vows at the novitiate in Syracuse, NY. I hardly had an idea of what the time following my vows would hold, as I took up my new mission to First Studies at Loyola University Chicago. Quite frankly, I wasn't particularly concerned, either; the profession of perpetual vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in front of hundreds of brother Jesuits, family, and friends seemed a bit more pressing!
Five Jesuits, Five Journeys. Frs. James Martin, Sean Carroll, David Meconi, Scott Santarosa, and Br. Ralph Cordero reveal their joys and struggles in responding to God's invitation to life in the Society of Jesus.
