Dear
Friends of the Maryland, New
England & New York Vocations Offices,
We are pleased to announce that five Jesuit
novices will profess first vows on August 16, 2008 at Holy Cross Church, Syracuse,
New York. The men are: Rudy Casals (NYK), Luis
Infante (MAR), Brett
McLaughlin (NEN), Matt
Prochilo (NYK)
and Eric
Studt (NEN) .
We are also very blessed to be able to announce the acceptance
of nine men from the Maryland and New York Provinces who have
been accepted into the novitiate for next year. (See
below.)
We
draw your attention to Rev.
Cristóbal Fones, SJ (CHL),
featured on our 2007-08 "What's in Your Heart?" posters,
who recently released a new CD entitled Tejido a Tierra.
In this technological age it
was only a matter of time before the Jesuit world intersected
with the world of rap music. The result is an entertaining
and informative video entitled St.
Ignatius Rap.
Finally, we ask that you keep in your prayers the incoming Provincials
for the Maryland and New York Provinces, James
M. Shea, SJ (MAR) and David
S. Ciancimino, SJ (NYK), who
assume their positions on July 31, 2008, the Feast of St. Ignatius.
We thank you for your continued support in the
very important work of Vocation Promotion. We wish you a very
blessed Feast of St. Ignatius.
Christ's Peace,
