Prior to profession First Vows, second-year novices reflect upon their long experiments:

The Regency Period

Regency is a time for men to be fully involved in the apostolic work and community life of the Province. Men are assigned to regency based on the apostolic needs of the province and individual apostolic desires.

Reflections on Regency:

Peter Folan, SJ (MAR) - Halfway to Ordination

Stephen Surovick, SJ (MAR) - Growing in Grace and
                                                          Understanding of God's Call

Theological Studies

James Duffy, SJ, M.D. (MAR) - Listening to God's Whisper (provided by the Knights of Columbus

John Mulreany, SJ (NYK) - Nowhere Else I Would Rather Be

Hadi Sasmita, SJ (MAR) - Becoming a Bridge Across Cultures and Religions

Mike Woods, SJ (MAR) - Graduate Studies in Liturgy

Tertianship

Jesuits profess final vows after they have experienced a period of full-time ministry as priests or brothers. Before a man professes final vows, he spends a probationary year in prayer and study called "tertianship."

Mark Hallinan, SJ (NYK) - Toward Full Incorporation

Brendan Hurley, SJ (MAR) - The Stream Of God's Love
